Aimé De Gendt has renewed his contract with Wanty-Gobert to prolong his stay with the team until the end of 2021.
During his first year at Wanty - Gobert, De Gendt won the Antwerp Port Epic, took second place at the GP Samyn and won the combativity award of the 11th Tour de France stage as well. The 25-year-old sees his strong performances being rewarded with a contract extension until at least the end of the 2021 season.
"I feel very good with Wanty-Gobert and was happy with the team's proposal for contract extension, proving our mutual appreciating. I hope to make further progression next year, and expect the team to do the same. The transfers are promising. It looks like we'll be at the start of the classics, the big races suiting me best, with a solid team. I'm looking forward to next season with much confidence!"
