Laurens Sweeck and Toon Vandebosch see their strong season being rewarded with a contract extension and a first professional contract respectively. Sweeck will stay with Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal until the end of 2022, while Toon will make his professional debut in September 2020.

Belgian Champion and overall Superprestige winner, Laurens Sweeck, was one of the team’s leading men during the past cx season. Therefore, Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal’s Manager Jurgen Mettepenningen is happy that the Belgian Champion prolongs his stay: “Laurens makes a perfect trio together with Eli and Michael as they complement each other very well. I’m happy we can keep positioning ourselves as the best cyclocross team, also next season.” For Laurens the contract extension is a logical decision: “I started to work with Jurgen after the two teams merged last year, and quickly noticed that everything goes smoothly inside the team. I’m feeling good here, so this extension is a logical step.”

For Toon Vandebosch it’s a move up and a next step in his young career. Next season, the 20-year-old talent will keep competing in the U23-races, but will officially turn pro on September, 1st.
