After already winning yesterday’s Noordzeecross, Laurens Sweeck was also the best rider today at the Krawatencross, taking his second win of the weekend.

The cold and snow in Lille didn’t seem to bother Sweeck. After a long solo race, he took a convincing victory once again as he soloed across the finish line of the 7th round of the X²0 Badkamers Trofee.

Laurens Sweeck:

“It’s been a hard couple of days after my father-in-law passed away suddenly. I didn’t sleep much, but I’m ready to leave this week behind me.”

“You have to keep your focus in the second lap. The course changed a bit as frozen spots formed. I tried to reduce the risks, which is why I couldn’t extend my lead. They were setting a brisk pace behind me as well, but I felt to be in control.”

“I felt good at the World Championships last week, but I only found my legs in the final laps. I think I’ve been able to continue my form. I hope to be on top of my game again next week."
