As he did last year, Laurens Sweeck won the final round of the Telenet Superprestige in Middelkerke, crossing the line solo. An emotional victory for Sweeck as he dedicated his win to his father-in-law, who passed away earlier this week. Sweeck finished ahead of teammates Vanthourenhout and Iserbyt. “It was an emotional moment when I crossed the line", Sweeck told afterwards. "I did have a good day on the bike. We did well with the team and we were the best (three) riders today.”

Toon Aerts secured the overall victory of the Superprestige Series. Though he didn’t have his best day, he gave his all & managed to seal his first overall Superprestige win. Aerts finished 6th, which was enough te secure his overall win as main rival Iserbyt finished 3rd. “It was a hard race and a long hour on the bike. I’ve had a hard week and started the race with little confidence – though the race suited me. As soon as we took off, I noticed the pace was too high. I fought for every place, but when I saw Lars (Van der Haar), I got more confidence. I'm very happy to take the overall victory!”
