Kenneth Vanbilsen has signed a new contract, extending his stay at the French Cofidis Team with two more years.

The 29-year-old Belgian joined Cofidis in 2015 and will stay with the team until the end of 2021, making it a cooperation of 7 years. The professional Continental Team is highly likely to become WorldTour in 2020.

In a press release, the team says to be very happy with extending Vanbilsen’s contract: “Kenneth Vanbilsen is a very experienced rider, who works hard for the team. The Belgian also has the ability to show his talent and to win certain races, proving his recent victory at ’Dwars door het Hageland’.” Sports director of the team, Cédric Vasseur, adds: “Kenneth's commitment to the team, at the Classics and the Grand Tours, gives him every right to be and stay part of this team."

Of course, Kenneth Vanbilsen himself is very pleased with the contract renewal as well: “I’m very happy to sign this new contract. It's my fifth season at the team, a team in which I feel very much at ease. The contract extension is a confidence boost for the two years ahead. I know there will be many opportunities for me to prove myself in the near future.”
